‍Interior designer David Hicks was tasked with reimagining Bouzy Bar in Armadale, approaching the redesign with a philosophy of refinement rather than complete reinvention. Originally designed by Brahman Perera, Hicks sought to elevate the space by introducing layers of opulence, enhancing Perera's elegant aesthetics with bespoke detailing and a rich material palette. The result is a venue that balances both luxury and warmth, offering a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere.

The bar, owned by renowned property developer Glenn Eagles of Glenneagles Homes, benefited from Eagles' extensive international travel experiences. "Having visited countless European bars, restaurants, and beach clubs over the past 20 years, I've always dreamed of creating a European-inspired venue in Melbourne," says Eagles. When the opportunity to purchase the original Bouzy arose, he acted quickly, acquiring the space within just two hours. The collaboration between Hicks and Eagles has created a unique and immersive dining experience, blending European influence with Melbourne’s flair.
